This was an old Club Med hotel, previously a Holiday Inn, but it has been a derelict eyesore for the last 20 years or so. It finally was brought down today in less than 5 seconds by tons of dynamite. Sooo exciting!! The area had been cordoned off but 100s boats anchored offshore for prime viewing. Just a normal Monday morning event here in Bermuda...I wish!

I vacationed at this Club Med in 1987 and only recently saw the implosion on the Discovery Channel show "The Detonators". It was a bit sad to see it go after having actually slept there! But, I guess, all things must pass. So long, Club Med, Bermuda; I will enjoy the memories. :)
